FIELD ENGINEER

MacMor Construction is a growing heavy highway/civil contractor working in the central PA, doing a mixture of public and private jobs. We are seeking a heavy construction field engineer to work with Project Manager and Superintendent performing a multitude of tasks with a willingness to lead, to give concise instructions, to help crew members, to demonstrate a strong work ethic, to be self-motivated and to perform physical/mental tasks. This role is vital to the firm and has a wide range of possible tasks.

Field Engineer complete organizational and project management responsibilities to effectively help lead the construction team and ensure they have all the resources they need. This role is both in the field and office as part our team leading crews building the work.

As part of the crew you will be working around heavy equipment and together with fellow workers must follow all safety procedures and policies of the firm and our clients.

MacMor Construction provides paid holidays, paid vacations, and partial payment on Health insurance.

TASKS

  • Manage project schedules
  • Monitors Construction Worker’ progress.
  • Coordinates inspections and necessary supplies.
  • Communicates to Project Managers and Supervisors.
  • Able to read plans and specs and communicate them to crews
  • Ensures quality work and correct practices.
  • Ensures employees are efficient, work meets local and federal regulations and construction progresses according to schedule and budget.
  • Assist PM on job set up and paperwork
  • Verify field quantities and ensure billings with PM

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices.
  • Good Planning skills, including design execution, resource allocation and contingencies. Follow timelines.

HEAVY CONSTRUCTION OPERATOR

MacMor Construction is a growing heavy highway/civil contractor working in the central PA, doing a mixture of public and private jobs. We are seeking experienced operators to run our equipment depending on your experience.

Excavators, loaders, pavers, rollers, dozers and the like for our operations.

Preference given towards paver operator, but all are positions are needed.

Looking for people willing to learn and grow their skills while passing on knowledge to others. Must be able to follow instructions, drawings, and safety requirements of our firm and those of our clients. Will be part of a crew working to build the infrastructure for our communities to continue to grow and prosper.

Must pass a drug test and physical.

Must be able to get to job sites where you are assigned to work.

HEAVY CONSTRUCTION TRUCK DRIVER

MacMor Construction is a growing heavy highway/civil contractor working in the central PA, doing a mixture of public and private jobs. We are seeking CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Truck Drivers. Drive a triaxle dump truck or potentially our lowboy for equipment moves.

Experience in a truck is needed.

Must pass drug test.

Must have Commercial Drivers License and clean motor vehicle record.

HEAVY CONSTRUCTION LABORER

MacMor Construction is a growing heavy highway/civil contractor working in the central PA, doing a mixture of public and private jobs. We are seeking laborers to work on our crews performing a multitude of tasks. Experience working in construction is preferred but not required. We are looking for a willingness to learn, follow instructions, help crew members and perform physical tasks. This role is vital to the firm and has a wide range of possible tasks.

Tasks – to include working on pipe crew helping install pipe in the ground, forming and pouring concrete, working on paving crew to place asphalt, checking grades and general cleanup of site.

As part of the crew you will be working around heavy equipment and along side fellow workers. Must follow all safety procedures and polices of the firm and our clients. Training and growth potential exist to move up into other positions down the road.

HEAVY CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN

MacMor Construction is a growing heavy highway/civil contractor working in the central PA, doing a mixture of public and private jobs. We are seeking experienced Foreman. Need for a Paving/Milling Foreman and Pipe Foreman currently open.

As a Foreman you will be responsible for a crew’s performance on a job site. Outlining the plan for the day/week to the crew and ensuring quality, safety and production are always achieved daily and to maintain a professional and quality image for the company.

  • Supervises assigned crew. Evaluates performance and disciplines as required.
  • Responsible for layout of job and reading of blueprints
  • Completes required paperwork, such as time sheets, units of production, performance appraisals, etc.
  • Assures compliance with safety and OSHA regulations on the job site.
  • Assures all equipment necessary to complete the job is at the job site.
  • Assures all materials necessary to complete the job are at the job site.
  • Works directly with General Superintendent on coordination of manpower, equipment and materials.
  • Coordinates job details and requests with owner while maintaining a professional image for the Company.
  • Fills in where necessary on the job crew to assure satisfactory completion of the job.
  • Assures satisfactory cleanup of job at the end of each day and at the completion of each job.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by General Superintendent.
  • Follows OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Follows the rules, regulations, policy, guidelines, etc. of MacMor Construction, LLC.
